Andrew Housser earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Housser continued his education at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, earning academic distinction as an Arjay Miller Scholar after graduating in the top 10 percent of his class.
Andrew Housser spent his early professional years rising through the ranks of investment and financial services companies, applying his academic success in roles with prominent financial firms like Littlejohn & Co., LLC and Smith Barney Inc.
In 2001 and 2002, while in business school, Andrew Housser shifted his career into the startup world, exploring marketing and product management with several young companies, including portfolio companies of prominent Silicon Valley venture firms Kleiner Perkins and Sequoia Capital. The move from established financial firms to budding startups provided Housser with firsthand business development experience and injected a desire for industry innovation and creativity.
Housser capitalized on his startup and investment experience in 2002, when he founded Freedom Financial Network, LLC, a debt resolution company that provides financial solutions, service and education enabling consumers to reduce debt, build wealth and achieve financial freedom. Freedom Financial Network utilizes several subsidiaries to apply a multitude of debt resolution solutions for its clients. These subsidiaries include Freedom Debt Relief, Freedom Freedom Tax Relief, Freedom Mortgage, and Bills.com. Andrew Housser founded Bills.com in 2005 to augment Freedom Financial Network services with a more thorough educational component. It includes hundreds of articles to help consumers navigate the world of consumer finance and features Ask Bill, which aggregates the insight of industry experts to assist Bills.com customers in an effort to educate them on their individual financial concerns and strategies. It also gives consumers the ability to shop around for the best financial solution for their particular situation and compare the offerings from multiple providers.
Under the leadership of Andrew Housser and Bradford Stroh, Freedom Financial Network has settled more than $700 million since its founding for over 80,000 clients. It currently maintains an active client list of over 40,000 with more than $1.5 billion in debt currently under management, settling more than $40 million per month. In 2009, Freedom Financial Network enjoyed over $100 million in revenues. It was also named to Inc. 500 in 2008 and 2009 while concurrently being awarded one of the Best Places to work in Phoenix and the Bay Area those same years. Andrew Housser is currently married and the father of 3 children.
Andrew Houssers success with Freedom Financial Network and Bills.com has led to his inclusion on the San Jose Business Journals list of Forty Under 40, which tracks the top young entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley.
